Creating Facebook Business Creation

To use Facebook and Instagram Shop, you first need to create a Meta Business Suite or Business Manager account. This account is essential for managing your online store and marketing efforts on Meta platforms.

Creating Facebook and Instagram Shop

Once your business account is ready, you can set up your Facebook and Instagram Shops. These shops allow you to showcase and sell your products directly on your social media profiles.

Use this guide to create your shops quickly and effectively.




Verification

Before your shop can be published by Meta, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Verify Your Business or Organization: Ensure your business is officially recognized by Meta.

  2. Add Products to Your Catalog: Populate your shop with products.

  3. Customize Your Shop: Adjust the shop layout and features to suit your brand.

  4. Publish Your Store: Make your shop live on Facebook and Instagram.



Verification using Business Details

You can verify your shop using the following business documents: link

  • Certificate/Articles of Incorporation

  • Business Registration or License Document

  • Government-Issued Business Tax Document

  • Business Bank Statement

  • Utility Bill


Verification using Personal Information

If you prefer, you can verify your shop using personal identification documents link

Instagram Shopping's Meta Catalog


Part 1: Introduction


After setting up your Facebook and Instagram Business accounts, you can start syncing your products to Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp (Coming Soon)). Select the products you want to make available to these channels through this feature.

Note: Products made available to Facebook and Instagram will be accessible on all Meta features you have set up. Since Meta features share the same product catalog, it’s not possible to make a product available to only one feature if you have multiple features set up.



Part 2: Product Validation


Meta performs validation on products, which may cause long delays or rejections. To ensure your products meet Meta's requirements, they must include:

Changes to product details in PlugoSync are automatically synced to Facebook and Instagram. You can change how a product's image, title, or price is displayed on Facebook  change how a product's image, title, or price is displayed on Facebook by editing the product in PlugoSync's Master Products . Your changes display on Facebook after your products sync, which usually takes a few minutes.

  1. Product needs to require shipping, so it can't be a digital product. Product needs to have a return policy. Also, Product cannot be free.

  2. Product's name needs to meet Meta's Product Title Specifications for Catalogs

  3. Product's description needs to meet Meta's Product Description Specifications for Catalogs

  4. Product's images needs to meet Meta's Product Image Specifications for Catalogs

  5. Product needs to be eligible according to Meta's Commerce Policy and can't be in violation of the Facebook Community Standards

  6. Product needs to have a Google Product Category assigned



Part 3: Availability on Facebook and Instagram


Make Your Products Available on Facebook and Instagram

For Indonesian users, you need to create collections for your products using Facebook Commerce Manager after sending the product.


Step 1: Check Product Availability


  1. Go to the Products page.

  2. Click More filters.

  3. In the Availability section, select Unavailable on Facebook.

  4. Click Done.


Step 2: Make Your Products Available


  1. Select all the products that display after applying the Unavailable on Facebook filter or individually select the products you want to make available.

  2. Click More actions > Add available channel(s)....

  3. In the new dialog window, select Facebook.


Part 4: PlugoSync's Meta Product

Monitor Your Product Status

The Product status section of the Overview page shows the status of products available on Facebook and Instagram, indicating any errors. Click View products for a list of errors and use the Issues column to fix any problems.


Easily Update Product Details

Changes to product details in PlugoSync automatically sync to Meta, by click upload again in the Meta Page. Edit the product's image, title, or price in PlugoSync, and your changes will display on Facebook within a few minutes after syncing.



How to Setup Product Catalog


Go to Facebook Business https://business.facebook.com/commerce/


Go to Catalog > Sets, click create sets.


Pick your products you want to add as sets and then click create.


Now you have new Product Sets / Product Catalog.


In Sidebar, Go to Shop. In Shop, show all your catalog or manage as your wish.



Once it's finished you can check in your instagram Shop.


How to Fill Landing Page per Product


Go to Facebook Business https://business.facebook.com/commerce/


Go to Catalog > Items, click the products you want to changes and click edit.


In the edit page, find "Website Link" then edit the the link. Once everything is set, click update products.


You will get confirmation message once it's finished.


Generate Official Links from PlugoStore

  5. Products in PlugoStore can be easily managed in PlugoSync, and you can also handle orders seamlessly within PlugoSync.

FAQ


My product is not showing in Instagram Shop

There are three possible reasons for this:

  1. You have not created a product catalog in Meta Catalog. Refer to the instructions above on how to set up a product catalog.

  2. Your product is using an unofficial or suspicious link. Switch to a more legitimate link to increase visibility.

  3. Your product violates Meta's requirements. Check the Product Validation instructions above.


I see this error message " request entity too large"

Meta only allows updating 3500 products at once. Consider processing your products in several batches.


Why my landing page are all the same for every products?

We currently provide one link for all products. However, you can use PlugoStore to generate unique links for each product. Alternatively, you can manually change them one by one in Facebook Catalog. Refer to the instructions above.


Why I got rejected to create Instagram Shopping?

There are several reasons why Instagram might reject your application. Common issues include products that do not align with Instagram’s branding guidelines, digital products that don't require shipping, or discrepancies between your shipping address and your current location. Additionally, ensure that all submitted documentation complies with Instagram and Facebook’s guidelines.
